Thanks Mate

Well after reading Fredbears great write up of fitting his Rekon suspension it's inspired me to add some photos of my new suspension fitted up last Friday

Here is all the bits unpacked
Image
Picks of the difference between standard and Rekon
Image
Image
And some picks I took last night after adjusting up another 1" . The front is sitting about 4" higher than standard.
Image

Image
Image
Added some race tape over the uniball to keep the crap out until my top caps arrive from Matty.
Image
And a pic of the pretty blue knobs, for all your adjustment needs
Image
And pics of before and after lift

Ok time for some updates, the Wife surprised me with a purchase for my ute, a bedrug, marine carpet for my tub, really soft and great protection for my gear.

I went camping last weekend and since I haven't got a towbar yet to tow my trailer with the Rooftop tent on, I made a frame so I can carry it on the back of my Lux. Most of it sits lower than the roof to stop a bit of the wind drag. But it is a little low when parked. i have to duck my head to walk underneath. I am going to do some modification with some pivot points and either a Air Ram or a linear actuator to raise the tent up another 200mm so I will be able to walk under without hitting my head.
Anyway this what I have at the moment.

I have also started work on the Axis Bullbar to make room for my High Mount Winch
Started with the grinder making some cuts
Image
Image
Image
Image
Then bolted the winch winch up
Image
And trial fitted to the Lux
Image
Image
Image
Image
There is a couple of minor clearance issues between the winch and the car
Image
Image
Not sure if I'm going to modify the car, Bullbar or winch so it's not touching.
Still need to cut the grill to fit around the winch
Image

Image
Before someone asks there is a bit of surface rust from transit, I had Matty supply the bar unpainted so I could modify it and get it powder coated after I finished cutting and welding.

I also trial fitted my sliders before I take them in next week for Powdercoating.

Factory steps removed

Buds sliders fitted

I'd just give it a couple of taps with a hammer and see how it looks from there.

I'm a bit pissed actually, lashed out on a shiny new Warn Fairlead and because of the lump with the warn logo my number plate doesn't fit above it. So I either have to use my old fairlead or mount number plate somewhere else.

Yeah I reckon i will mod the car, too much stuffing around to move the winch forward in the bar.
