Did you end up doing the braided lines as well?

Yeah did the lot. Had a little trouble getting one of the new lines to seal. I think it was a little dodgy from factory. Ended up bending to shape and reusing one of the small steel lines removed from the caliper to fix the one leaking on the chassis. All good now, never heard the 33s chirp under brakes b4[emoji6]

Another + plus for brake info thankyou's. Excellent little tip, I'm shattered I replaced mine recently haha.

Starting to work abit more on the tub, to make it more convenient when camping.
Got the wing kit off the supacentre to go with the drawers.
Cut out a section of one side and welded the cut out on to make a frame for the switch panel to screw to.



Price of cake to install, and I decided to do it without removing the drawers front the tub.
Bit of a pain, but do-able.

Also was very lucky the other day, got pulled up and defected.
The only thing they picked was no mud flaps!
I’d only just taken them off that morning to do some measurements for the rear bar.
So it was my lucky day!

I’ve also bought a water tank and pump to mount underneath.
Thinking of mounting it where the spare Tyre used to sit and folding up some aluminium to wrap around it for abit more protection.
This is roughly where it will sit.

Unsure whether to mount the pump underneath or up in the tray under one of the wings?
Where has everyone mounted theirs?

I’d imagine mounting the water pump far above the water level would mean priming each time after driving. If you were parked up for a weekender it would probably hold, but for intermittent use would be better mounting it lower to gravity prime. Of course, then you have enviro sealing to deal with. What about a subby in the tank?

Hey crit, unfortunately I’ve already got the pump. It does however say it’s self priming up to 2m vertically and says it can be mounted above and away from tank.
But I guess I should probably test that out before I put everything in!

I’m sure it will work, but the priming bit still means it needs to suck a lot of air each time. Less of a problem if you’re parked up, I just reckon for occasional use between off-road sessions it will take a while to deliver water. A decent check valve should help.

Should work fine, the pump would have a non return valve in it.

Haven’t updated for awhile, been flat out at work and getting ready for Easter.

Managed to get the tank plumbed up and just very roughly mounted the tap for Easter. This will be moved eventually and put on the swing arm of the rear bar.

This is the filler point.



The pump mounted just above the tank.
Completely self primes only takes about 3 Seconds to get to the tap with no water in the lines at all.



The breather I bought up into the tub to stop it from getting covered in mud and dust.

Also got the base of the rear bar on for the weekend in case I needed to use the tow point.
This will be the skeleton of the rear bar.

And a few pics from Easter, went out to chillagoe, about 3 hours away from where I am.


It’s almost unheard of to catch Barra this far inland especially because the have to come from the gulf. But we have had a s@&!t load of rain up this way and everywhere is flooding so all the Barra are pushing up.
Not much size in them but there’s not many places you can catch Barra nearly every cast this close to camp

Nice setup!

Finally got around to plugging this in to try and see if im actually getting 21psi of boost.
Does anyone know what unit the MAP is measured in? No where in the manual lists the unit
I’m seeing readings between 190 and 215 at max boost.
Not sure what the redarc was reading caus it’s unplugged at the moment. (Tidying up some wiring)
But I would assume it’s the normal 19-21psi

HPD catch can and new inter cooler arrived today.

A little disappointed in the catch can, I researched for ages and decided to pay the extra money and get one because everyone was raving about them.
The tapped threads for the inlet and outlet hoses still had metal shavings attached. Some of which had fallen and become stuck in the mesh filters.
I then opened it up and noticed more bits of metal. These were from the edges of the filters as they’ve just been cut out and the edges snap off easily.
One of the hoses was no where near long enough to run it the way they pictured so I had to re route it and cut it shorter.
There was also a mounting bolt missing.

All installed, will be interesting to see if This cooler makes any difference to EGT. They claim 22% bigger 33% more efficient.
