I think to go public is ok but imo you will have lots of nissan and mitzi owners telling us we are bias infavour of toyota and also will get lots of spam just my thoughts. Scouse

well well well boys, the TJM rep came into work yesterday and
asked me if they could use my lux for the TJM stand at 4X4 show this weekend.
i obviously said YESS :) all this talk bout Advertisement I got the newhilux.net
Sticker on the back window. Theres going to be thousands of ppl there lookn at the lux
and most importantly the Great sticker at the back. if the flyers where ready i could of
put them on the bonet or something. grrrrrrr.... i would expect another 20 to 50
members by the end of the month. :) :) :)

Guys back on deck. Might go against the grain here, but all good 4wd forums I have frequented are open for browsing. Might not allow you dowwnload or display pics and show you more if you log in. If you stick it on the net it is public. I have signed up for a dozen or more forums and spam has never been an issue except on my birthday when they all send me a note... :) as if I want to remember them at my age :(

I reckon give guests something but keep the best bits (tips and tricks, builds, trips etc) members only....

i think public should be able to veiw the basic sections like diy and general discussion so that they can get some info if they are looking to buy a hilux and how easy it is to fix or do things to them but they can not post unless they sign up. so basicly a read only guest option

If public, aren't those spammers get easier access to emails dbase and stuff?
