Repair Manual

Postby Seaair on Wed, 11 Jul 2007 10:29 +0000

I recently wrote on the issue of repair manuals.

Well I have been contacted by the Haynes mob (who previously assured me that a manual for the new 2005+ would come out in July 2007) that the new manual only covers up to the 2005 model.

What a load.

Sorry fellas. The next won't come out (I am told) by 2009.

Surely Toyota would have there own, probably would'nt sell them though. Picking up my car from a service soon I'll have to ask them. Place your bets fella's.

Until today, Ellery or equivalent still do not have the repair manual available for our Hilux.

Our versions first appeared in 2005 and after close to 4 years, I would expect the manuals to be available considering that our Hilux is very popular in all the markets that they are available such as Australia/NZ, Europe, South Africa etc.

Anybody have any news on this development?

The Toyota repair manual for the Hilux was/is available on CD and comprises about 750 Mb of web based info when installed. Unfortunately you need a serial number to unlock it. A couple of forum members have it. Pretty hard to see on the 7" screen of my Car PC but it looks like this:

Being web based, It would be fantastic if this could be hosted on New Hilux, but not sure if the licensing conditions would allow it.

Single licence agreement, we have it and use it and it is very good.

Takes a while to learn how to use it.

We worth buying.

Thanks! Downloaded it, and it is really good, but only the electrical system though!

Anybody have anything for the rest of the vehicle?

Try this

catch is its not free cost me a whole $20 AUS to download found it a few weeks ago. Has full schematic diagrams full motor details valve clearance etc, they claim its what they use at the dealer covers all motors diesel, v6 etc
it from the states but it will show variances for toyotas released in other countries australia/thailand etc

http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/ ... nual-05-09

hope this helps

cheers
