Canberra Toyota dealerships servicing

Hi guys,

Just curious to know if anyone has had any good/bad dealings with Canberra Toyota (Fyshwick or Phillip) servicing departments.

Used to take the Hilux to a 4x4 specialist for servicing, but lately prices have sky-rocketed & not happy with the service! (eg 140K service cost $880 whereas according to Toyota afterwards standard 140K service was about $216.35!)

Used to get the missus car serviced with our same mechanic, but same thing, exuberant prices & things haven't been done when they should've been.... just lost faith in him after several years so looking for a new mechanic that can trust & not get ripped off!

I havent had a service yet, but i have dealt with both Fyshwick and Phillip for other issues and if you have to pick one or the other, definately go to phillip because fyshwick are totally arogant. Others though swear by the Belconnen dealer and have had good dealings with them. Thats where i will be taking my car for its first service.

If you read the "D4D rattle"thread there are peoples experiences noted there that may be of interest.

With all my other cars i have used M D Automotive in Monash. Michael is a no bullshit mechanic and his prices are fair and have always looked after me, its a personal service and he always shows you the bung parts. I havent taken my hilux to him yet but will be once my warranty is over. So up to you mate.
