Hey fella’s,
My 2012 hilux threw some dash lights on the way home, booked in for a scan tomorrow. Was wondering if any of you have an idea what they are. Thanks

Looks like abs or traction control etc. It's worth buying yourself a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner (around 40bucks online) that gives you the actual codes and what they mean. Looks like the first thing to do is take it to the dealer.
It looks like you had the handbrake on while you were driving? That could do some damage and be why the lights?

A quick around online looks likes (hopefully) something to do with the abs.
Going in tomorrow to suss the code’s out

Ok, overheating handbrake could cause abs faults.

Let us know what it was and how it was fixed. We all like to hear a resolution and how it occurred

At the mechanics now, brake lights are out? Possibly a fuse of similar.

That was probably it. It happens a bit with unknown and known trailers

True, unknown trailers and the elephant in the room is the Lux wiring harness. If you don't have the OEM harness which includes the relay/solenoid box in the engine bay the fuse is vulnerable to too much current draw from trailer lights.

Yes that is wierd but the harness note is valid.
Some DIY people think it's ok to tap into the vehicle's lights but the wiring and fuse can't handle the extra load.
