How much should a conpresson test cost at the 180k service?

My 06 GGN-25R (1gr-fe V6)is due for its 180k service & the plugs will be changed. Should I get a compression test done at the same time? And how much should it cost?

If the plugs are getting changed anyway it realy shouldnt cost much as its a 2 second job to screw the compression tester in and turn the engine over.

If it's any more then $25 I suggest buying a compression tester which you can pick up for roughly the same price and you can use it on anything with a petrol motor - as mentioned above it is a 2 second job any one can do, I would like to think a good mechanic wouldn't even charge you for it

Ended up costing an hours time & Toyota wouldn't budge from that.
Any way compression was all good.
Not bad for a 11 year old moter Image
