90915-YZZD4 oil filter on 1KD engine

Hi everybody, I have bought V6 petrol(1GR engine) Hilux for the wife and it has the 90915-YZZD4 oil filter on it.
I have some 90915-YZZD2 oil filters for my 1KD diesel Hilux.
I can see that the D4 filters are taller than the D2, does anyone know if the specifications are the same ?
Can i use the D4 filter on the diesel engine?

The after market filter for both engines is the Z418.

It would be nice to just buy one filter in bulk to service both vehicles.

I noticed when I bought both my V6 Hiluxs they had Japanese made oil filters, but the Toyota replacements are Thai made and I think the same for both V6 and the diesel. When cut apart they aren't the same quality as the OEM Japanese ones either. I have tried to buy the Japanese ones to no avail.
