Ceramic - Akebono Brake Pads? y/n . . .

just found these brake pads online for hilux "Akebono Brake Pads" parts are made in America ceramic brake pads seem like a nice upgrade anyone used these if so, how did they perform? would they work better with slotted rotors also?
im a hilux add some diesel anytime now. . . .

Akebono are a good brand, and I used Ceramic pads on my last fourby without issue (on slotted rotors), so there shouldn't be an issue.

Hey leg horn, just fitted these along with pedders slotted rotors and braided lines and did make a differance! My tyres are the limit now haha will report back after a week of driving ☺

The only thing you need to worry about with ceramic is when they get hot they stop working.

So if you're doing alot of hill descents using your brakes you may find they are worse than stock. But for the most part they are good and will last longer.
