Decarb kit? Anyone heard of it?

Postby chillinhilux on Fri, 11 Dec 2015 3:09 +0000

Hey fellas

Bout to do a big service on my d4d luxy. Got a mate that works at Toyota that is gonna do it for me. Jus wanna ask around if anyone has heard of putting a decarb kit through? Another mate said I should do it but my mate at Toyota said he's never heard of it and even asked the other boys and they got no idea either.

In the service I'm getting timing belt and water pump done(it's due), all oils and filters, egr cleaned and block installed, oil pick up cleaned and a good check over for anything else. Moving rural for a couple years so getting what I can done before I go.

So yeah what is a decarb kit? Is it worthwhile? Or not needed cause I'm doin all that⬆️⬆️⬆️???

Dont decarb it. Pull the egr and clean it manually.

The decarb crap will make your poor engine eat its own poo. Yuck
