hey
any sa guys that have had good services done. ive just had my 10k service done at the dealer and im not happy. my first sevice i had done there at 1k i paid extra so that they would change the oil and filter they did that, but when i did my own 5k service i noticed they 4got to put on a sump washer, lucky i had a new spare from my old car so i used that. so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. but this time i picked it up and there was all oil on the door and on the carpet and after closer inspection they havent used a sump washer again!!!! whats going on???? the worst part is they charge ya $1.87 for one that they dont use, any way guys i was after any of you that have had good services time after time?

Cheers Troy

I would've gone straight back to the dealer and shown them the evidence, NO WASHER!! That' the problem for we customers when the workshop employs plenty of apprentices and minimal tradesmen to supervise.

well after having my first 3 services at a dealer (where i bought the car new) and having nothing but trouble with them as the posts above state, i changed where i have been getting my services done.

My 30k and 40k services have been done at Barossa Valley Toyota and i cannot fault them at all top notch work :D .

The reason im posting this is after today im really impressed with there service, because last weekend i was working on fitting the EGT probe to my 3'' exhaust when i noticed some oil on my sump gaurd.
After closer inspection i traced the oil leak to the front diff oil seal where the cv axel connects the diff. I thought straight away damn i wont get it under warrenty because i had the locker fitted and a year or so ago and it must have been damaged then and only just started weeping in the last couple of 100kms.

any way booked it into barossa valley toyota and within 3 1/2 hours my car was ready to pick up, not only that i got my wallet out to pay and they said "nah m8 its a warranty job''.

After hearing all the horror stories about the stealers and i know from experience there are some shonky jobs going on out there i thought these guys deserve a good write up

cheers Troy

Great to hear Troy

My local dealer gives the same service you are getting even though our ute has a mod or two
It's not allways been the best service but overall they have been good and have pushed for warrantee and now extended warrantee to cover the repairs. So like you I recommend our blokes at Taree Motorama as well.
