Hi all, I have a 05 LN167 & I had an ABS problem, at low speed the ABS was kicking in intermittently. I spoke to my mechanic & he said that as my ute has drum brakes on the rear & if they are out of adjustment, this could cause the problem. He suggested to bleed the brakes as its due for a change soon & crud in the fluid could also cause the problem. I bled the brakes & the fluid was putrid. The pedal instantly felt better & during the test drive the issue was no longer present, only problem is the ABS doesn't work now either. I tried to activate the ABS by locking the brakes on both road, dirt & half half. I have also found that the ABS light doesn't even turn on when I turn the ignition on. hopefully you all can help, much thanks in advance.

Generally you'll get more replies once you've introduced yourself.

Don't know much about this Jay, but the first point of call would be to check the the fuse related to abs has not blown for whatever reason and check that each wheel speed sensor is plugged in.

Beyond that I can't offer more advice but there are some smart cookies around here that I'm sure might be able to help.

Thanks for the tip Steve, I've checked the wheel speed sensors & other than the 80A fuse in the box under the bonnet, is there another smaller fuse that I might have missed? Where would that be located?

It should be a 40A fuse in the box under the bonnet, it is within the section that has a plastic see through top, unsure of how you replace it individually..

This is the location on my car (2011 Sr5) not sure of differences between ours but I'm sure there will be.

There are 2 more fuse boxes, one under the steering wgeel and one on the left behind the glove box
