Service Schedule/intervals??

Postby B3RG on Tue, 01 Jul 2014 4:04 +0000

Hi, New hear and am looking to get myself a 09' 10" Hilux SR5 3.0l.
wondering if someone can give me a rough guide if I purchase one what to look for?
I dont want to get one at 95K on it and have to do a 100K big service on it.

So what are the big service things you need to do eg, timing belt, diff stuff ect ect.
it dosnt have to be gospel but just a rough idea so I know what to ask when I purchase it.

Thanks

Timing belt at 150k and water pumps seem to start failing between 100 and 150 k other than that I would be just getting it checked out for general mechanical condition
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Yep timing belt at 150,000km.
The other big service items are check valve clearance every 40,000km. Although this doesn't really need to be checked until around 150,000km as well as they don't change much.
Also diff oils every 40,000km
