What brake pads for 2010 model

Postby wholehog on Tue, 03 Dec 2013 2:39 +0000

Front pads will need replacing soon so i went into supercrap auto to check em out,The book that they had gave me the part number DB 1739
I checked the web site prior to join in and i thought i needed DB 1482....the ones u use when VSC is fitted.....But the sales boy  was adamant that i was wrong as he sells heaps of the 1739 part number.....
Hard to tell with out pulling them out first....any body keen to shed a little of there wisdom.....cheers

My little bit of wisdom ....

Get them from the main dealers as for some reason the originals last a lot longer than aftermarket ones and that includes Mintex

X2 on the Webbo comment

My experience the Toyota pads are superior at a wider temp range and last longer and don't damage the disc.

You would be surprised at how poor some aftermarket pads are when cold.

But if you don't mind disc wear I have been told the Bendix Ultimate pads bite hard and work well.

I'm sure the part numbers changed at pre 2007, 2007 to 2010, post 2010

The pre 2007 used the old style pads that were fit to the earlier 2000 onwards models
Some 2007 still used them
2010 changed again with bigger discs and VSC

Your dealer will be the best bet as they could tell you based on the reg/vin number

In the cat of QFM 4x4 pads, it states that the number is NDB8256, from 2005 on. All KUN26 4x4s.
The only difference is the Vigi 2008 with 16" wheels, NDB8404.

I use these pads, the 4x4 ones, all the time.
The Roo.
Passing through country and seeing country are two different things.
