Brakes and fixed price servicing.

Postby MLTZER on Sat, 23 Nov 2013 2:04 +0000

Dropped the lux in for its 60,000km (last fixed price service)I mentioned that the brakes are squealing .

When I picked it up he said brakes just needed a clean.

1000km later and they are squealing again.

Are brake pads included in fixed price serving?

Fixed price service only includes oil and filter change. Any other part needs replacing that is extra unless its covered under warranty.

Very simple to replace brake pads and would take no more than 10 minutes each side to do. Could buy a premium pad for the price Toyota will charge you for an oem ones.

Cheers guys, I just had to ask the question just to be sure, I didn't want to have to pay for new pads if they should of changed them.

It's a 2011 SR so drums on the back I believe? Not knowing much about brakes so correct me if I'm wrong but the rear drums should be fine and it will most likely just be the front pads needing replacment? And what's a good premium pad to get?

Rear drums on all current models, will probably need to be adjusted if not already done at your recent service.
