Lets Aim for 20 or more. I dont mind picking them up since the shop in near my place. I'll make the order under my Pty Ltd as a fleet purchase and should get a good discount. How many guys are in NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA and NT that would want one (or two, i might get 2) to work out postage.
Lets give it until Friday 30th of May as a deadline? What do you guys think?

Sounds like Chanch-Blancha is in a better position to coordinate this than me, so I am happy to hand this on. I was planning on using the prepaid Australia post regular satchels so they parts would not fall out and there was a standard price ($5.30 each). Nice and easy to do it that way.

I was going to PM people who have put their name down with direct deposit details before I ordered. I do have Paypal which is another option too I guess as long as the fees are covered. I could pass the funds on to Chancha if he doesn't have PayPal.

For those who are keen on getting a plug (or more) email me tdhilux@gmail dot com
Subject : Oil Plug - Newhilux nickname
Name
how many plugs req.
Address
if possible a contact number.

Once i get all the details ill call Fumoto make the order get the price and give you guys the price for the plug. Then if possible send the plugs to one member of the state, so that way if you guys can have a "plug collection" meet up or i will, with your address details individual get a price from Aust Post and email you back with the plug price and postage.

Sounds Fair?
Marcelo

PS I would prefer a Direct Debit
eg RODW OIL PLUG or MickR OIL PLUG

Once i have collected all the $ i'll pick up the plugs and send 'em out.

Not sure what price you guys ended up getting but I spoke with Jack and he's finally quoted me $34 delivered to wollongong for the n type valve i.e w/ nipple. If you got him lower than that I'd like to know.

I know that's more than the ebay and the lubrication specialist sites but delivery will be faster. Up to you guys I suppose I'd go the cheapest option normally but I'm changing my oil this friday so I think I'll go with the local guy.

Catch for you guys is you have to put triton club in the order 8-) Make sure your clear what type you need though because the triton is 106N someone here mentioned you need the 103N

Cheers.

With all the mucking around it's not worth it, I ordered from Lubrication specialists the day Homer posted and it's here, $26.45 US about $30AUD.

My reasonably no mess method is that I use $2 plastic dust pan with a couple of 3/4 inch holes cut in the back edge each side of the handle.
what I do is jack it up with a trolley jack and put stand under the chassis, remove the rear section of stone guard, crack the sump plug so I can undo it with a socket and extension with my fingers, then I place a piece of oil absorbent pad (courtesy of a power station I worked at) on the x member slide the dust pan on top of the crossmember up against the sump and fix it in place with a short occy strap around the steering rack and dustpan handle, then I wrap a piece of rag around my wrist to stop the oil running back up my arm , insert the socket and extension and and undo the drain plug and the oil runs out the holes in the back of the dust pan in into my oil dish.
if all goes according to plan there is no mess.

I usually don't remove the filter until a number of hours later so it has drained somewhat, I also have a hose in the outlet on the oil dam around the filter so any spillage drain in to my oil receptacle.
my local Toyota dealer use an oil flush when the do oil changes they reckon the filter drains out better.

anyway I am going to buy a fumoto valve it would be a lot easier.

regards mick
