Servicing my Hilux

Hi guys sorry for the newbie sort of comments, I bought my 09 hilux new and have to say when I picked it up it was just another work tool. Since then I have passed on a number of opportunities to move it on, it has become somewhat of a pride and joy. It's pretty stock but my family and I love using it with our outdoor lifestyle. This brings me to my question.
I live in the Kallangur area and now that my ute is out of warranty I would like to find a good mechanic to do my routine services that's local. I have the 3.0td with an auto transmition. I would appreciate if anyone out there could shed some light on this subject as I have had a few near disasters already.
