Diff Filler Plugs and Drain Plugs

Postby Scottyt on Sat, 15 Mar 2008 8:05 +0000

G'Day,

Just some info regarding diff filler/drain plugs. Had trouble with them burring over. Changed them with an extended version from Toyota. Cost $4 each. Part number TO-9003341020.

May help?!

TA... just on a side note...ALWAYS remove the filler plug first......why you ask..cause if ya can't get it out there is no use removing the drain plug... see a few young blokes down the mines do it the wrong way around and a small job can take 1/2 a day...

cheers

Diff Filler Plugs and Drain Plugs

G'day 2RODS,

LOL! CDF isn't it!!!

Just make a point that it wasn't me burring over the nut but when I got it back from being serviced! Not the first time it's happened either. Owned every model Hilux to date and changed all the plugs. One was that bad I had to file the hex back onto the nut. Reduced the size a bit!!
