Turn Off Oil Change light

Does anyone know how to turn off the oil service light on the dash if you've done the service yourself rather than pay dealer prices,

i didnt know we had such a light .
you might have to ask the toyota guys that one
i dont blame you for doing the oil change urself toyota are a bit hot for what they do i think

I find it strange that Toyota have different specs worldwide. Such a warning light would be handy in all countries, diferent engines. Brendon in Malaysia has a different engine to the new member DocLloyd from the Phillipines and us in Oz. Strange.

You usually need a scan tool to remove warning lights like that, if you find a good auto-sparky they'll probably do it for nothing. 30 second job.

Dunno if it's the same but on one of my last cars, not sure if it was the ford or nissan, to clear service due reminder on dash the mechanic showed me you just hold the reset speedo button for 10 - 15 seconds.

I have not had this light come on at all on my Lux, and I have gone 1500kms over due for service when I was out traveling. When did yours come on Jimmy. And where is it on the dash?? Cheers TOMUCH

On the South African spec Hilux you have to disconnect the wire leading to the filter, switch on the ignition for 30 seconds, reconnect the wire and then start. Problem should be fixed.
