Is oil changed when air locker installed

Rear diff oil in my Hilux is due for scheduled replacement, but I had an ARB air locker installed recently, would the oil have been replaced then?

Yes as the diff lock uses normal gear oil and you would have had LSD oil in there . So yes they would have added new gear oil ..

Yes,they change the oil. Very important if you do any sort of water crossing work. There were signs of water ingestion in my diffs when I had the new lockers fitted up recently. Toyota had done a 40,000k service prior to the fitment,but made no mention of this. Was picked up by the ARB blokes doing the install. I've got Skog's breathers fitted,but have done a bit of 'Wet Season' work before putting in the breathers.

I know this is an old thread but for anyone scanning for answers- they pull the guts of the diff out so have to drain it first. Also my local ARB store changed the oil again after 1000k's to check for metal shavings, all included in the price.
