i ended up putting a hose from where the sump plug used to be that i can just pull out through the drain hole in the bash plate, the hose has a nut in the end of it that you then put a bolt in, effectively putting the sump plug in the end of the hose, just didn't like the idea of having a lever there, pirtek assured me it was a common conversion on a lot bigger and more expensive machinery, will post pics when i get home.

Guys,

Contacted Fumoto direct and they have said to use the F103 valve as indicated in their charts on line.

Not sure why the other post I've seen says to use the F101??

I've just ordered a F103N (the one with a nipple to attach a hose to) I intend on utilising a stainless hose clamp to attach the hose and may even put one over the top of the safety lock mechanism like the one mentioned on the web site for EXTREME conditions...

Will let you know how it turns out...

Cheers Skeney

I can confirm via an email today from Jack at Fumoto Australia, that the Fumoto part is the F103N (N is for Nipple). Jack has been away for a couple of weeks and is back now.

Looks like you better add me. Don't mind being the middle man seeing I emailed them and got the reply provided I don't get left holding the valves.

So there is seven so far.

I have asked Jack at Fumoto to quote on 10 units and will advise later. Might give it a few more days to see who else wants one.

I have also asked him to let me know if there are better price breaks.

Hey Rod,

As I mentioned I have just ordered one of the N type.

Any chance you could talk to Jack and include mine too??

If not, it's not a problem. I just thought you could use it to help make up the numbers...

Guys,

Fumoto will give us a 20% discount on 6-10 units, but after I post it to you in a 500g Regular Post plastic satchel ($5.30) from the South Brisbane Mail Centre , that works out $48.50 each, a saving of $5.50 each.

I don't want to use a 500g Express post satchel which is similar cost, but it is a paper envelope so a part could fall out of it if it was torn.

Not sure if the $5.50 is worth worrying about. Maybe we need 15-20 to get this off the ground to ask for a better discount. We need 30-40% to make it worthwhile I think.

Homer, the web site you quoted is in the USA, but it would work out cheaper from them at about $33 per unit delivered if th efreight cost quoted is good for international deliveries.

Skeney, sorry, not too keen on going back to Fumoto and altering an existing order. Didn't cost you much more anyway.

As it stands, we have 7:
Chancha-Blancha
David Allen
Pati
ToMuch
BJ343
Cool95
RodW

Let me know your thoughts about this.

Woops, might be worth it. Just check their site. Fumoto charge $7 delivery including the bulk shipment. So after allowing say $1.00 a unit for delivery to me (for 7 units), that makes the saving about $11.50 per unit.

Rod,
the price from lubricationspecialist includes shipping to Australia (this is how much I have paid) and at the current rate of exchange is less than A$30. Why would anyone choose to pay more?

Rod,

No problems.

Still one of the cheaper additional items for my lux, so I'm happy.

Good luck organising your bulk order...
