Anyone have a Ctek D250s out of warranty?

Postby LocalFart on Thu, 02 Feb 2017 9:30 +0000

Hey guys,

So everyone experience with Ctek is allover the place with good and bad reviews.

Seems like mine as stopped working after a few months and very minimal use. I have heard that there are internal fuses that I checked.. now thinking that there would be a *void if removed* sticker somewhere I thought I was safe...

But alas I have voided the warranty by removing the little red cap over one of the skrews.

So my question is, does anyone have a Ctek device that is out of warranty that they wouldn't mind letting me use the little cap that sits over one of the skrews? there is beer or cash if someone can help.

Not too sure you can get em off without breaking them.......I sent mine in for a warranty claim well after it had expired...they replaced one of the three fuses and all good...I did have to pay freight though.....
I recently shorted the 12 v system and blew a fuse in the Ctek...I replaced the 2 that are easy to access despite looking OK and fixed the prob .......
Cheers Richo

Yeah I think I would be able to remote it with some double sided tape or some thing like that.

But yeah I checked the fuses with no luck :( So looks like I'll need to send it back and try my luck.

So I finally got mine back, they honoured the warranty even though I had opened it and also upgraded me to the new model 8-)

So decent service from their warranty team (even though it takes ages)

Option to set it for Agm battery [14.7 volts] and internal relay for smart alternator.

Yep spot on. Does a 2012 SR have a smart alternator?
