Transfer case seal????
Was it a leak or "sweat" as toyota are telling me?
They are kinda saying to me that because its not dripping its not a leak, well if others are done on warranty then mine will be too.
It has spread out from the seal about 40mm each side, i don' t know technically which seal but its on the transfer case i know that.
Anyway my list
Key
Rear wheel bearings
Bonnet recall
Tail shaft touch up(see Klunk thread in general)
Hopefully transfer case seal
Dan

Just had my gear stick replaced under warranty. The top sleeve had dropped down (a bush was broken or something) so I was driving a sports hilux for a while as the whole stick was several inches shorter than usual. Took them about 4 months to replace it. Apparently there have been a number of problems with them and they couldn't get any in while Japan was sorting out what to do. I love the stories they tell.

Hilux D4-D Auto, August 07 now at 76000 km

Fuel lid spring (was missing when I got the truck)
Power Window bracket, front/left
One CV boot plus one front axle
2x u-joint at the rear differential
5x rear wheel bearings ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
2x Windshield wiper fluid pump/motor
Injectors replaced due to engine rattle noise in cold condition

Other warranty issues, it now has its 3rd SMM canopy. The first one had a BIG dent on the top. Second, aftar about 1,5 years had a few cracks in the body.

Regards,
Óskar Andri

A wind noise? Vibration at 100km/hr from the lower left hand side you say? Hmm, breakfast may be wreaking havock? Oh, the windscreen...

I see a couple of axle bearing replacements in this thread. Roy's Lux is a 2008 model and they upgraded the axle bearings since to a dual bearing setup. Must have been plenty more of these replacements hence the upgrade in '09' onwards i think it is. *older Lux owners check your axle bearings before embarking on anything demanding

Just had the front passenger seat base replaced under warranty.

Apparently it wasn't engaging in the seat rails properly. The seat had excessive movement & noisy as, when going over bumps. All good now, till next time.
