Just as a matter of interest has anyone needed to make any warranty claims on the new model hilux? None for me, car is now 16 months old.

Not with Toyota but some aftermarket shocks I had fitted, they collapsed and they got resolved swiftly. I have been hearing funny noises behind my dash like the Navara owners experience though, have thought about complaining about that. No other complaints from me!

I'v had mine back for the idler pulley to be replaced, a rattle behind the rear seat and the left hand side rear seat belt, also the ute lid didn't close properly so got them to fix that. All done at Toyotas expense.

Warranty claims ?

Hi guys.

My May 05 SR5 4x4 D/C M5 3.0TDi is going in for its 30K service and having the clutch done due to a squeel and shudder as apparantly the early ones are prone to. They are also checking the computor as my one no longer shows the available fuel range. One other (which I forgot to advise) is a wind noise / vibration at 100kph which comes from the Left Hand Lower side of the windscreen. Any help any of you can provide would be appreciated.

Cheers

I have a wind noise coming from the same section of the windscreen, only hear it every now and then, most of the time it's all good because my hearing isn't the best!

I've got my 10K service coming up. What should i expect for the standard cost of the 4.0L auto. Any other points i should get Toyota to check out. I haven't got any quarms with the car except for a passenger seat rattle...

I'm now up to 45000km and no major problems. I had the passenger air bag assy replaced at the 20000km service due to a rattle behind the dash. So Dave that might be your problem if your 'funny noises' are coming from the left hand side.

I do have a rattle from the rear seat area which toyota tell me they can't hear. Dan did toyota fix your rear seat rattle?

they cant find a problem with it, so I took the hole seat out and back in again and its much better, still not happy with it but its better, if I've still got the car when its up for the next service I'll get them to look at it again.

Toyota replaced my whole rear seat because it had a rattle. The sub-contracted the fitment to a motor trimmer and they damaged the side of my car. Toyota ended up paying for that as well.

I've had a few issues. All fixed under warranty. New clutch. New trip computer. New front drive assembly. The last one was due to a CV boot clamp coming loose repeatedly. It was fixed about 6 times, but kept coming off. They finally agreed to replace the full front drive shaft assembly. No problem since.

I was in Broome when they agreed to replace the drive assembly, but heading for Darwin (via Gibb River Road and Mitchell Plateau. In Broome, we used tie wire to fix the CV boot in place and Toyota sent the parts to Darwin for the repairs.

Of course, I'd rather not have the problems, but I've had excellent warranty support which is the next best thing.

Has anyone had the drivers seat bottom cushion cover wearing, had mine replaced and the thing had only done about 16K, also had issues when they fitted the ute lid, they screwed the install on that, was coming loose and was chipping the paint when closed, another rattle is the seat belt knocking the pillar.

I have had 5 new intercooler rubbers (D4D) as the edge kept folding under until they made a bonnet adjustment. I have also had the bar stickers replaced - they are now polyurethaned on.

I've had my stereo replaced. The MP3 song titles would not show up on the display.
I have to take it back in soon for a leak on the output of the transfer case.
Was meant to take it in to get the paint fixed where the tourno rubbed on the tray but didn't bother.
