Hi Guys, i had both my keys replaced on my last lux (05 Extra Cab), the guys at Midland Toyota were fantastic. I watched the keys get coded, it took the guy about 20 seconds by doing a sequence of OFF/ON turns with the key (im sure there was a little bit more to it, but it looked fairly simple).

I have a new key for my Lux and wanted to know how you guys got the chip out from the old key. Also, how did you glue the chip in the new key?

Cheers

Like Rodw said, use a locksmith to cut out the key with your key code (and not the shopping centre key cutter)
