the major thing I notice they said they check the tappets. I then looked under the bonnet they hadn't pulled the cover off. just incase I was wrong I pulled the plastic cover off fine dust all over the engine and no finger prints or evidence that the tappet cover had been taken off. my dad took it back and all they said (the way they check the valve clearance is by listening to the tappet noises) ummm really don't know how u can tell the difference if its is one thou out of spec
