Warranty Claims??

Just after some advice on some issues with my truck.

First one is one of my keys... after 2.75 years of use half the time (I alternate my keys) one of the buttons had fallen out. See the photo...

Do you think Toyota will replace this? I would hope so! The truck is sold as a commercial vehicle and as such should be of suitable quality and durability.

The other issue is my clutch. It is starting to slip. I would suggest within 5000kms it will be stuffed. My warrnty ends at the beginning of May. 85'000kms travelled, 45'000kms of which are on 33's.

I'm thinking of putting a set of 31's on it and taking it in and trying my luck. Should the 4" lift or LPG provide them any reason to decline the clutch replacement under warranty?

Any ideas/advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers
Matt

My clutch got replaced under warranty twice, due to the fact that it had a shudder on take off and down shifting. I was told this is a common problem with the t/d. As long as it shudders i don't think there shouldn't be a problem them replacing it.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

Jep... my steering wheel has become very rough as well... though to be honest I quite often drive with dirty hands!

I'll hit 'em up for that as well!

Cheers

if they don't, most insurance will usually replace a set of keys once a year /recode etc if they are *stolen*, perhaps lost even.

I had trouble with a slipping clutch when reversing with a ski boat on after 30000km. Went to Canberra Toyota and they didn't question it even though it felt fine unloaded. Replaced in one week no problems.
