Warranty Repairs Contest

I've had a new front strut replaced under warranty.

Tried to get my disc rotors replaced but Toyota wasn't interested in playing with me! LOL!

Before my warranty expires next year, I'll probably ask them to change the common rail fuel system as I have issues with the engine rpm on starting.

Cheers

Warranty Repairs Contest

Postby bushpig on Sun, 27 Jan 2008 9:38 +0000

My Lux is out of warranty in July. Are there any things that I should push with Toyota at next service so as to save myself some dosh? I have a slight vibration after 2"lift but that's something that niether (OME or Toyota) will accept. I have heard all sorts of stories here and other places but I have never had any sort of problem at all. I am considering purchasing extended warranty from 4x4xmore Bne.

Cheers

I would head to a mechanic tell them your truck is just about out of warranty and you want them to go right over it

Best Case = You know someone other than Toyota gave your truck the all clear

Worst Case = they give you a list of stuff to get Toyota to fix

will cost you a few dollars but its good piece of mind people used to come in all the time asking for this back in my mechanic days

I heard RACQ (QLD) will do a warrenty inspection for you. They go right over the vehicle and give a written report. Costs a bit over $100.

Good idea if your not sure about engines, drivetrains, suspention etc.

Thanks 2 Rods.
I'm sure Townsville has the same rubber deteriorating conditions, so I might have to follow up on that idea
Cheers :) :)
