No you didnt have it.. you can see the holes along the leading edge of your bonnet (including where your bonnet protector mounts).. but no seal there..

I have been told that they are supplied with the genuine bonnet protector. Would this be the case?

I have the genuine bonnet protector and that same seal that is in Steve's picture above. (That answers your question again TOMUCH).
I might ask them to keep it for me.

My vehilce is an early 2005 version and it HAD!! the strip. Was designed to improve the aero seal along the front edge. Saying that my economy is no different so go figure!!

My Lux is July 2005, so maybe they stopped putting them on at some stage.

Obviously not required anyway.

Bonnet Recall Issue

Had my bonnet recall done yesterday. they scratched it in two locations and put marks on the plastic weather strip under the windscreen. they also left oil stains on the quarter panel. the guy at toyota wouldn't admit to the scratches saying they lay it on a clean bench not to get damaged, even though i told him that i have detailed and polished it the day before and it wasn't there he wouldn't accept the blame.

Shane.. you've got two chances of them doing it..

They will ONLY fit the flasher recall to genuine Toyota Bull Bars.. youre running an ARB arent you..

it REALLY should be ARB's responsibility to replace the flasher / issues with their bar.. but of course you are dealing with ARB.. so that'll never happen either..

This flasher unit problem... What are the odds they already fixed mine? I got mine with the Forge bar option about 6 weeks ago.

I got the recall done. They dented my bonnet and I had them pay my panelbeater to respray it. I have new paint now. I never had the front strip and I bought a bonnet protector after the new paint. I fitted it myself and it didn't come with any extra seals. I got an arb bar fitted a while after purchase, never had any problems with indicators. I tow a trailer too. They didn't hesitate to do the flasher unit though. So all good after the whole rigmarole.

well got the recall done today and as i expected left the dealer with the shits, they scratched the top of my gaurd and scratched the shit out off the black panel at the base of the windscreen, didn't fix the back seat which makes a racket when ever sombody sits in it, said they couldn't fault the clutch which squeals when i take off even with the 31" tyres fitted which they were today haha. then had the hide to tell me his records show that my servicing hasn't been happening at that dealership and asked why haha why the bloody hell does he think.
