Can I ask how people managed to get the egt probe into the taipan exhaust. I'm pretty lost on how to do it.
cheers

There should be a ceramic dump pipe with it that has a bung to screw it straight into

I believe you may have to get it re-turned specifically for an automatic transmission, which means you would have to send it back to chip it...
I am sure Robert will chime in if I am correct or what needs to exactly happen!

Supercharge is on the cards but not for years. Still on my p's, saving for a house, paying off a boat. Can't afford it. Not a cheap venture that's for sure

Jask S, the factory ECU will have different settings for the manual or Auto, so we just modify what is already there. so in this instance we can swap auto to manual without issue.

On the V6 Petrol front: Toyota have locked down their ECU so even though I can flash petrol vehicles for better power and EGR OFF, no one has access to this ECU (and file yet) so I cannot tune it.

Ohh really. That seems stupid that they only locked the v6 and not any other engine.

Sorry, Toyota are not the only ones to lock their ECU. Just with many other we can crack them. Toyota are proving difficult at the moment.

Their day will come ;)

Hi I have a 2012 model extra cab manual Hilux with a Chip it chip fitted set up with two tunes. - drove wonderfully for 4000kms but has since started causing some problems -

It keeps throwing the p0093 (large fuel leak code) and goes into limp mode / also intermittently throws the p0401 EGR insufficient flow code (no limp mode - worth noting i have not touched the EGR system at all) - code / limp mode almost always seem to come up whilst reapplying the throttle around 1500 rpm / has also happened twice while idling ( in this instance it just cut out) - Dean at WA Automotive Specialists in Balcatta who installed the chip has been great and has replaced the chip twice and put 2 new custom tunes in trying to fix the problem - additionally he has done the fuel rail mod / loaded the newest firmware / fitted extra earth cables - yet the problem still persists -
Has anyone else experienced similar dramas or any advice on how to fix?

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim

you need to get some support for your Chip. We may swap it out as there was a fix for this and Dean may not have seen the new fix.

Please contact Support on 1800 78 48 82.

We are here to help and for sure you have an older chip that does not yet have the fix.
