Injector seat reused or is it??

Postby junaid86 on Wed, 19 Apr 2023 3:59 +0000

Hi, I fitted 4 new injectors, i torqued them down to 22Nm, but when I installed the valve cover and tried to line up the pipes, they were not lining up, i had to loosed the 2 injectors and then aligned them and torqued again to 22Nm.
Now my fear is, will that seat last?

Should not be a problem if you just turned the injector to line up. Assuming the seats are new?
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

Yes seats were new but the Service manual mentioned the seats cannot be used twice, which led to the confusion.
The sheet was torqued, then released and then torque within a span of may be 10 minutes
