Oil leak around injector pump?

Postby TOYZX on Sun, 25 Feb 2018 5:40 +0000

Hey guys! Was giving the rig an oil change yesterday and found a new leak. It appears to be coming from the injector pump region, anyone come across this b4 or can anyone tell me how hard these pumps are to remove and what seals it to the engine? Cheers Luke.

I'm almost certain the pump is behind the timing belt which can be a bitch to remove

I just tried it and works for me. If it still doesn't, I just searched: boxhead pump

I still cant get it to work, blooy thing. Does he say hiw hard the pump is to remove? Id imagine the gear would need to come off the front and if so that means all the timing covers need to come off the front of the engine aswell?

Not really but he mentioned it takes 40min to an hour to do the job. From the pic, it looks like the pump is on a bench. I imagine he has all the necessary SST as well
