Condensation concearn

Hey all. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've been traveling overseas for the last four months and wont be home for another two. So in total my ute will have been sitting for six months. From memory I didn't fill my tank up before I left stupidly and i'm worried that it will now have some water in there due to condensation.

So, should I be dropping the tank and giving it a good clean? or, do you think that I can just siphon it out? My concern is that water droplets may be on the ceiling of the tank, so just siphoning will not be adequate.

Cheers!
Matt

Just add some fuel doctor and fill the tank, not likely to be a lot of condensation, fit a prefilter and keep an eye on the bowl. Oh and drain the OEM filter of water/grunge and change the filter.

Cheers Gipsy,

I will be adding a secondary fuel filter with trap for sure, as I am paranoid about the fuel system in these motors. I always change the OME every 20 000 too.

Thanks,
Matt

My 2007 sat for five years before I bought it in tropical conditions with a nearly empty tank. I've run three tanks through it, then changed the fuel filter. No sign of water, never set off the filter idiot light.
