Insufficient Fuel Supply from Supply Pump to Injectors

Postby Sanjay on Mon, 03 Oct 2016 7:27 +0000

Hi All, I have recently bought an Hilux 2011 (2KD-FTV) from an Auction.

The engine would not start and have noticed that the fuel supply pump is barely pumping out diesel. The Priming pump and fuel filter is good and operating as normal.

The Injector pipes are almost dry.

Any help would be much appreciated. I will try swapping out SCV tonite to see if this helps.

Hi any joy fixing this as my car is doing the exact same thing. I have no diesel at the rail. Filter is good and diesel at the pump. Cheers

It's usually a new supply pump in this case. There needs to be a test done on the supply pump first, before any decisions are made. Denso dealer is best for this. Please make sure that the fuel filter assembly is free from deposits and a new filter has been installed in the assembly.
There are fault codes in relation to the supply pump that sometimes do occur.
