I just watched the above youtube link and I had to comment on youtube and here, do not shake out the dirty filter into the filter housing as he did! and you should also drain the filter housing and make sure it is spotless, the most common way to contaminate a fuel system is during a filter change. That bloke on youtube may be complaining about toyotas crappy injectors in another 1000kms.

Everytime i change my fuel filter, i look into the housing and there is always some s**t in there. I always fill with some degreaser, and wash it out extremely good than making sure it is fully dry before i install new filter and pump new fuel in.....
Highly recomended to clean housing everytime!!

Guys,

Some people say to change every 40,000Km for the 2.5D 2KD-FTV (from the Hilux service interval sheet), some people say every 30,000KM for the 3.0D 1KD-FTV (from the Prado service interval sheet of the same 1Kd-FTV engine) other people say only when the filter light comes on?

Hard to know what the right thing to do is.

Cheers,
Eoin.

The funniest part about you reading my signature is that by the time you read the whole thing from start to finish you only then realise there is nothing interesting in it.
