Hey all,

Just wondering when (approximately) your little orange empty fuel gauge light comes on?

My '14 SR D4D 4WD comes on at around 25km left (according to the trip computer)

* it's also standard as a rock..

Does this seem right?

Andrew,

Your tank should be 76 L. Try to fuel up as soon as the light comes on and see how many L she takes. Subtract this amount from 76 and it should give you what you have left. If you know you're average economy this should give you a good indication of how far you could still go.

*This won't be perfect due to fuel in the lines, but should give you a pretty good indication. I've heard of people getting a fair few km once trip computer goes to 0km, so it's not definitive.

Wen i fill mine up its around 60litres from the light. So id have 16 ish litres left yea? Doesn't really look like id get much more than 70km from wats left

What are you driving dooka?, do you Tow a house up a hill with a headwind all day? because 70km out of 16l is in 20l per 100km territory, my auto lux with 33's all the Barwork and loaded up still sits around 12l / 100km. So 16l would happily get me 125km if I went easy

My 13sr5 comes on when 7-8 ltrs are left in the tank
