Morning Starting Issue

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 D4d with 160k on the clock.

Just came back from a trip up north & the Hilux ran fine with no issues. Gave it a good pressure wash & now when I leave it parked overnight it wont start first thing in the morning. It cranks over fine but doesn't fire. If I pump the fuel primer a bit it fires up fine & this is good with no issues throughout the day.

Thinking it must be a fuel system issue, but there are no leaks anywhere.

Any thoughts? Maybe the SCV? There are no error codes, but I might look at the specs with Techstream to see if there is anything obvious.

Have a read of this, and do a search.
There are reports of cracked filters which suck air and drain back.

Cheers, yeah it has all the symptoms of a minor leak somewhere. I have a complete aftermarket replacement housing/filter installed but there are no leaks anywhere.

It seems strange that it only started happening after cleaning the engine bay with the pressure washer

Sounds like it's not holding system pressure, relief valve stuck or shorted?
