2013 injectors into 2007 donk

Hi everyone,

I have a friend that has 2013 hilux injectors done 12000kms. Part no. 23670-30400. He said i can have the if they fit my 2007 lux. I called Toyota NZ and they told me the part no. matching my 2007 rego is 23670-39185. The helpful man also stated that they could be the same injector just a different part no. for that year hilux. Now the reason i cant simply compare each one side by side is because my friend and I are at two different ends of the country and i was hoping i could save myself pulling a injector out by asking the question.

The mate replaced his 2006 engine with a 2013 and was told he needed to keep the 06 pump and intake manifold and replace the 2013 injectors with 2006 injectors hence some 2013 injectors are up for grabs:)

So after hearing the reasons why my friend couldnt use the 2013 injectors im hoping that some of you good sorts have had the pleasure of comparing injectors and possibly know the reasons to why it would or wouldn't work.

The calibration codes won't be accepted by the ecu. They will physically fit.
