Do I need to disconnect battery to change fuel filter?

Postby stevessss on Fri, 12 Sep 2014 3:21 +0000

Hi,

I am grateful if someone could advise if I can change the fuel filter on my 2006 D4D Diesel Hilux, without disconnecting the battery?

What sort of problems - if any, will I cause?

Thank you,

S

Cheers rysermon I was a bit worried fuel might come out if it is under pressure or something but sounds like it is ok?

as long as the motors off then youre all good.. you might get a lil spillage from residue fuel in the lines. thats about it

Pump sucks through the filter. No pressure ever.
