P1271

Postby Camo.mac on Mon, 04 Aug 2014 8:17 +0000

I have a 2007 3.0 ltr that I've just put an exchange motor in after blowing the old one up. I've put a 2008 motor in with my existing loom. I have a fault code up p1271 which is fuel pressure sensor failure and I can't get rid of it. I've heard it happens when you change an engine and even changing the sensor doesn't fix the problem, anyone had the problem and know how to rectify it?

Is the fuel pressure sensor wire connected to the sensor?

I’ve seen this somewhere on here, sensors on newer motors have slightly different resistance? so the ECU thinks it’s not working correctly. ECU to match the newer motor or sensor to match the old ECU, or adapter to interface the two.
