Yes unfortunately this is all too common. They all want everyone to help, but then rarely say thanks or confirm the final diagnosis and remedy. Luckily we have some fantastic members that are happy to keep helping out :D

Well, we help people for several reasons.
Mine is, I am sick to death of my industry being the way that it is, and I want the consumer to know that we are not all like that. The people that do this work on forums, are usually the real deal. Members are not stupid on forums, and they know how to sort out the bad bits from the good bits.
Plus, I love helping out people when I can.
Look at Boxhead, he's a legend to me, and keep up the good work, me old mate.
So, really Rocket, we don't need the thanks, but it's nice when it comes.
As a tradesperson to another, I just want to thank you, for all the people you help out on here, BH.
There is another guy who has been helping people out for years. MickL, good on you Mick, and keep the truth coming.
There have been some fallen members, like John from Autocraft, and thanks mate, for all the members you helped out.
Anthony is another guy on another site, that helps out many people when he can. He is a mechanic in North Melbourne.
Buds Customs, mate, your work is just incredible, and awesome.
The list could go on.
Knowledge should be passed on, and it's a sin if you don't.
What are you going to do with all your knowledge anyway? Die with it, I don't think so. ;)
Catch you later, John.

Thanks once again for the assistance guys. Latest on this issue is that when I took it back into the stealer on my last visit they noticed a slight leak in the fuel filter housing. They thought this may be causing it to suck air so they replaced the housing hoping it would cure the problem.

The vehicle doesn't stall as often as it used to but it still stalls. Now its throwing more error codes than the original P0093 code. The codes its throwing now are P0093, P0087 and P0191. :o

From my research the meaning of those codes is as follows:
A. P0093 = Fuel Leak Problem.
B. P0087 = Fuel Rail System Pressure Too Low.
C. P0191 = Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I wanted to replace my SCV but the all the places I could find that have them need me to supply the model number of the diesel pump so they can supply the right SCV however I cant seem to see the model number on the pump due to everything else being in its way.

Does Anyone have any idea what model number pump a 2007 KUN26R 3.0 D4D should have in it?

call Baileys Diesel and give them your VIN, they can work out the right valve from that.

however it sounds to me like either a dodgy relief valve on the common rail or an actual leak - have you checked your oil to see if it's being dilute by diesel?

Thanks Steven, I have checked the oil and the level is normal on the dipstick and the consistency of the oil appears normal. I think I will call Matt at Baileys as you suggest.

These are common Problem streams. It can be a number of things. the above link (which for some reason i cannot link, you will have to copy and paste it) is a step by step guide on sorting this sucker out...

If this is above and beyond, i think it might be time to come down for a day and sort this. Sounds like either Rail or air. both are going to be VERY expensive solutions if done through a dealership...

BoxHead is on the money by the way. I'm yet to have a P0087 code not be the pressure switch...

Where is this valve located BH and is it a replaceable part?

Would this only be an issue for the valves after the mid 2006 update?

They are all basically the same. usually the faults are pretty extreme when they fail however...

Hmmm..... seeing more of these codes. P0087.
I just had one Hilux, this morning.
Yes BH, one of those awful jobs.
The worse part of this job, is torqueing the banjo bolt on the leakage pipe, or what they call the check valve. This gasket is a use of once situation. Torque for this union or banjo bolt is 21Nms.
Make sure Toyota parts gives you the right gasket. This gasket is a different size to the internal injector leakage pipe gaskets under the cylinder head cover.
That bottom bolt on the inlet manifold stay or support can be a bugger, as well.
You do have to remove all injector pipes and the fuel inlet pipe that goes to the supply pump.
Like your arrow, Mate. :D
The Roo.

from my research it appears some performance chips overwork a spring inside the valve. Heŕe's a link to some pictures of the internals of the Hiace one which looks similar

Is it possible to change the relief valve without removing the entire rail?
Not sure if I'll get an answer on this but why does GSIC state:

"NOTICE: Do not remove the pressure limiter and pressure sensor."

Have you seen the cost of a complete replacement rail with both the sensor and relief valve attached?

That should in cent you to find a way to obtain and replace the relief valve
