Hey guys just installed a 2 inch lift in the front of my lux and the nose is sitting pretty high now, bullbar winch and 32's and the fuel economy has turned to shit, anything to do with the nose being too high? Any comment much appreciated

No. More to so with your 32's and the extra weight.

I remember modding my lux, it was great on fuel as stock.
Every thing I did made it worse. Lol...... That's life. ;)
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

My fuel economy has been getting increasingly worse over the last 4 tanks, steadily going from 11.2 (which I used to get EVERY tank within 0.1L/100km) to around 12.7L/100km at the latest fill up.
I've used a different servo every time, but only from major outlets (shell, caltex, BP)

I haven't been driving it any differently, am carrying the same load (actually personally I've lost a few kgs) and constantly keep the tyres properly inflated.

I finally got around to checking the engine data via techstream tonight and compared it to a snapshot I took a few months ago, when I was getting the 11.2.

All the figures are almost exactly the same, even my injector feedback values are within 0.1 of the older readings.

And to top it off, the current tank seems to be getting worse economy again so far judging from the fuel needle / km travelled.

Not blowing any smoke, not underpowered at all, aside from the economy it feels the same as ever. Heck I even checked to make sure my brakes weren't dragging.

What else could I look at?

I'd have to be extremely unlucky given I change servos every time and it's still progressively getting worse

Owning a d4d I personally stick to one good servo that I know has "high" quality fuel. My fuel consumption was bad for a little while in a 2010 my 11 d4d auto, 550klms to the light shell was lucky to make 500 but after I returned it back to my mechanic from the dealership who had it for 3 years it did a big backflip. And that was only with a second battery.
My fuel light now comes on around 670klms and above, this is now with a bullbar and 3" exhaust. Caltex vortex too
But I would look little things. Does it blow lots of smoke?

Rarely blows any smoke, on occasion with hard acceleration there might be a puff from the exhaust but even that is rare

My battery however is quite old, techstream showed it sitting at 13.3v with the engine running but thatd be more of the alternator right? Never has trouble starting

If you ( or misses and didt tell you) had hit a road bump hard your wheel alignment could be off.Thats what I would check first as cheaper of all the rest. Then a complete service with all filters etc. Also disconnect battery for 10-15 minutes might help.Check muffler for being clogged

I only just did a service about 2000km ago with all filters etc, but I'll get the wheel alignment done and check the muffler (new exhaust about 6 months ago) as well as reset the battery

By the way...tyres "properly" inflated as the sticker says is not good for me.I guess Toyota gains some more drive comfort by having the tyres inflated only at 2bars.I have noticed a drop of half a liter at least in economy when I went from 2,4 I had to 2 as the sticker says.Especially if you driving mostly on highways I would highly recomend that.Give that a shot also

what did your problem end up being?
Im having the same issue my last 3 tanks Im getting around 550ks the current tank looks like its going to be less a again...
Ive clean the MAF today,Ill do the 5000k oil change and check the oil pick up screen as I have been doing for a couple of years.
I have a an oil presure gauge,a scan gauge 2 ,and a boost gauge. so got most things covered exceppt for EGT....
At the moment at 100+ ks on the highway im sitting at 10psi of boost almost allways??? I dont recall it always doing that.
the scangauge is indication 13l/100 average...
thinking of taking it to BDG for some love...

Check your rear wheel bearings.

If they are on the way out the extra slop can cause the rear drums to drag on the shoes.

Put it up on stands and have a look remember they wont drag on the shoes with out the vehicle weight on the axel. However you should see obvious slop if they are bad enough to be dragging on the shoes

I have had then go in as little as 60K Km and as much as 160k+ km

Ive got a 09 lux, 2inch lift, 265/75 tyres, bullbar, and a roof basket (with a good wind deflector)
Ive never been happy with my fuel usage,
Going away and sitting on the hwy, best ive got is 590 when the light comes on
Recently i get 480 when the light comes on, thats towing a 6x4 tradie trailer which my guess would be around 800kg,
Towing without it the light comes on at about 500-520,
I just filled up today i had 498kms and put 68 litres in, 13.6l per 100kms if my math is correct,
Without the trailer its about at best 12.5 per 100kms which i think is pretty ordinary
Have had maf n map sensor cleaned by me And my mechanic, he also put some lower engine cleaner in,
Injectors were checked and are in spec i also have 3inch exhaust and i dont hoon more around either
Anyone got any ideas?
