Just changed injectors or simply started leaking?

If you've just changed, try re-seating it,

However if you've not touched it, i;d say that they may have stress fractured.

Re diesel leak I have removed the intercooler etc and diesel is leaking out of where the fuel line is connected to the injector and with it still connected hard to tell whether it's the injector or the fuel anyone had this or know what typically happens as is just started today, thanks for your help, 2006 d4d

The injector is a solid block.

So, it would be far more likely its the fuel lines. Look us up (baileys diesel) for reasonably priced lines.

Hope this helps

Thanks Matt you were right after removing the fuel line a faint blemish was obviously enough for fuel to bi pass, I didn't get time to go to Bailey's but will next time.

i got the same thing has happened now on no.2 injector, so the question do you replace all or just the leaking one? is it worth trying to silver solder it to get me through til the new line gets here, or leave alone?

I have an issue similar to the initial post.

Background.
On the weekend my old man and I were doing the 120k service on my 08 xtracab hilux (I am the second owner); he was doing most as he is a mechanic. Everything was going smoothly until we had to check the valve clearances. After a bit, we got the tappet cover off and checked the clearances. All seemed to be within limits with maybe 2 being just out of range. With dads limited D4D engine experience he decided to leave the valves as is and I have booked in with Toyota to get them to do it later this week. After putting everything back together I took the car for a quick run around town. From the cab I could smell diesel so I headed for home; driving at most 10km. Parking back in the garage diesel leaked all over the floor beneath my car; diesel fuel was leaking from where the metal fuel line joins the injector up in the head. We removed everything to where we previously had it; minus removing the tappet cover. Went back over and tightened everything up, the car has not leaked fuel in the 200km since.

Reading some posts about leaking injectors has got me a bit worried I may have done some damage or could be in for some trouble down the road. With what I have described above should I be worrying and what should I be keeping an eye out for or doing to make sure I don't have major issues later.

Thanks!
