DENSO Remanufactured Injectors

Postby BDG on Tue, 03 Dec 2013 7:57 +0000

YEP; you ready that one right. We're no longer the only company in Australia who are re-manufacturing the DENSO common rail injectors. DENSO themselves (despite all of their 'agents' claiming that it was not possible  ) are now offering reman'd injectors, just like us.
The difference, they're selling them off as new ones, at new prices with less warranty then their new ones!.

I've heard it from 3 different repairers who purchased from MTQ that they were supplied reman'd injectors without being told, and also a few Toyota dealers have been fitting these to customers cars on the 'quiet'. Now that we are no longer in the DENSO circle of trust, I cannot work out whether DENSO are supplying these as the only option, or whether these guys are purchasing reman'd and selling them off as new, but either way, its quite the interesting development.

Anyway, next time someone tries scare tactics and tells you that they are not repairable, tell them you know better!

Wow, what chance does a regular guy off the street have, without any additional knowledge a forum like this provides. Think I'll stick with my 350 Chev and Holley 650 Double Pumper    Just make sure you put the "good ones" in my ute next week Matt ;) ;)

How do you spot the difference? How'd the repairers tell?

From what i understand, the part number has an re at the end (in small text i might add!) with a very small reman in australia written somewhere totally obscure. - I'll post up a pic of the box when it gets here!

Hey Beau;
Yeah mate, as far as i see it, this is total validation of us! and a weakening in position for DENSO australia. I mean if they are supplying reman, they are totally re-affirming that from DENSO's point of view - Reman is ok! (which we always knew) and basically leave us with the same product at half the price! So i'm happy!

Ha, you gotta love this industry.
Matt, Dave found the problem, the Hilux from Darwin, mate. It was number 4 plug wasn't in properly.
It's now running beautifully. He is very happy. P0200 fault code. It had to be in that harness somewhere.

You can't buy new denso injectors from Mtq, it's reman only done by cornellls. You can tell as they should have another calibration code.
Other ways of getting new genuine denso injectors are available.

Ye, with the AUD being at 90 cents or there abouts, those options are becoming harder to find.
Any way, there is nothing wrong with the Bailey's injectors.
I am sure there are plenty of people on here that will second that.

Oh yeah, for sure, you will always be able to buy new from Somewhere! i just found it funny that DENSO is now supplying reman after all the bullshit they played against us about it not being 'possible' - Including an article in the latest 4wd Action. Our industry at large needs its head read i think...
Anyway, the world is still a bright and cheerful place LOL

Ye Matt, don't worry about it mate, because there is no way in hell that Denso Australia could remanufacture the 23670-39316 injectors, as good as you guys do.
You have got a quality product, and have set the standard. It's pretty high too.
As far as Toyota Australia and Denso Australia go, they are the same thing to a lot of consumers.
It's a bit like the fixed price servicing with most Toyota Service Centres, corners were cut, like with the valve clearance checks.
You should buy four of them and bench test them. I bet they don't come in with the tolerances that the Bailey's Group put out.
Catch you later, John.

u cant tell toyota that audiable checks are not enough to check the physical size of the valve shim to cam lobe gap.

I have just finished a phone call with the head of the 'other' injection distribution company (who is also the head of the AADS - NSW) and he has confirmed that DENSO AUSTRALIA is selling ONLY REMAN, as in, even if you take it to a Fuel Injection / DENSO authorized workshop, They have no choice but to supply what they are given.
REMAN products, at new prices with 12 months warranty. CRAZY.

Anyway, be interesting to see if the next time you guys go to these repairers if they pull the same old BS line that they're not repairable LOL

We will have a few videos on FB about our take on Filtration systems and so on in the next few weeks :)

Based on the fact that every company that have an online store have changed their wording on all DENSO products to read "These are DENSO original Equipment exchange" (well everyone that i checked, from Nissan Navaras all the way Up LOL) I would say its an across the board sort of arrangement...

And when everybody's super, there will be no supers.
Denso will be never a super, and that's a fact when it comes to these injectors. There the ones that said, and I quote ' these injectors will last the life of the vehicle'. NOT. And history has proven that these injectors, that they designed, caused so many problems, for so many consumers world wide, that it's hard to comprehend.
Look, to be fair, Denso have designed some excellent components through the years, but they did get these injectors wrong, that's for sure.
I personally would not go any where else for my Denso injectors, now. I would only buy and recommend the Bailey's Group injectors.
