Just imagine how long the new DENSO injectors can last.
A 2010 has likely no DLC or part DLC in it.
The part number for a 2010 onwards Hilux has full DLC!
You might never change them again.
You should still check them, because bad fuel & water can damage them.
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

Mine are DLC coated and have 100 odd thousand on them now, sound great, still feel great. Anthony, is it still recommended that the injector seats are done every 40,000km?

No & yes.

With genuine washers, Last i read, Proper Toyota procedure, is check valve clearance every 40,000k.
That is supposed to include remove injectors.
But, depending what they were when they were last checked, I say every 120k.
Generally, if fitted correctly, they will last 200,000k, so safe to say 120k is fine.
Check oil pickups to confirm.

But, with the BDG brass washers, you could check oil pick ups, & get em out at 40k, but from what I have seen, more will be leaking than not, so get them out. Cheaper & easier to get them out before blocked oil pickups.
Blowby cooks the nozzles, not sure if this will do permanent damage. Time may tell.
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.

Those BDG brass seats, and what a pain in the backside.
The Toyota Motor Corporation valve clearance procedure has not changed. It is the same as it was in 2005.
Ask Toyota Australia, and they will give you a different answer. I don't know why, but for what it's worth, there seems to be a conflict of interests.
For the new Toyota designed coated seats (sheets) change them out at the 80,000km service and the 160,000km service. Yes, every 80,000kms. That's what I reckon.

Gents a number of posts were removed as they wandered off topic and had nothing to do with injectors.

Please stick to the topic of the thread.

Is the DLC coated items the black ones or the gold ones in the last two pics?

Anyone know if/when Toyota started using dlc in OEM vehicles or is this something done with replacement injectors? What year model has them as oem?

Sometimes yes, if the o-ring has been hardened & blown out, you will usually see bits of carbon sitting around on the flat around the injectors.

What are you looking for? What do you have ?
