Well it hasent been a good 24hrs for me and the hilux, to start with I had a flat battery but that's not to bad just used the 2nd to get me going but the bad one happened about 54km south of Goondiwindie on the Newell hwy where a injector line split on the join where it attaches to the common rail :x spent about 2 hrs trying to get it to re-seal but to no hope it had split the pipe on the flanged part of it! Has any one had this issue? Iv had my injectors replaced about 1 year ago and they "replaced" the lines as well. So now I'm stuck in Goondie till its sorted :!:

Well abit of a update, the Hilux is back on the road afer a few days and a few dollers later :? Turns out is was the #4 injector line had flaired its end onto the common rail, what I found intrestering is that the new line had a brcket on it and the old one didnt, it just had a rubber cover around it where a bracket once was. So after fitting the new line and attaching the bracket the ute is up and running but the starter motor that is just behind the common rail copped a healthy dossing of diesel and has now failed so also replaced it. I will post a pic up of what bracket it was as it might be something to check if your injectors have been replaced :D

Im having a similar issue with my 2010 kun although it appears to be leaking from the flare nut that attaches to injector #3 my guess is i should have replaced the injector lines when i did my egr clean but that was about 30-40,000 trouble free kms ago.

Does anyone have a rough idea on price and availability for a full set of pipes and weather there would be anyone besides toyota that would be preferable to supply?

Cheers

Genuine... but who am I to really know. You can just about buy every part from them - the parts I have purchased look genuine and don't have the hallmarks of dodgy packaging or different coloured seals etc.

they certainly look to be trustworthy and people all over the net seem to love them. only thing that makes me suss is the price is so much cheaper than toyota and if anyone has been into a toyota parts department lately you've probably seen the advertising warning about counterfeit parts in genuine looking packaging (tho this might just be propaganda designed to make us fear the parts not sold by them at ridiculous prices)

It's similar to other part markets. E.g. anyone can buy Shimano bike parts from wiggle in the UK cheaper than what the bike shops here can get the same parts from Shimano Australia.

The only thing had about partsouq imo is the shipping. It's premium dhl... so it's very quick but it can add up, sometimes making the local stealership competitive.
