Fuel tanks / PetrolvsDiesel

Hey would anyone know if fuel tanks are the same? I am asking because i have a longrange fuel tank in a petrol and would like to know if i can swap it to a diesel vehicle!

Might be safest to call/email the manufacturer and ask them.
