Has anyone managed to space one up under a trayback ute so it sits within the bottom of the chassis rails?

Lee.

One advantage I found with mine is that Safeways often have a 15 cent off per liter deal and if you spend an extra $5.00 you get an extra 4 cents off, works out OK when you put 130 liters in.

140L works well for me. I don't do hardcore 4wding but after 18 months of regular trips to Fraser, Moreton and strandbroke island I have not had any noticeable impacts to the fuel tank. Our driving has not just been limited to beach driving either.

Old thread I know but people do still read them. just got mine on and got 1280ks to running out of fuel.
That was averaging 11lts/100ks.
it stopped quietly at the lights with no warning, while idling on a slight decline. then it took 140 ltrs. The gauge does stay on full and empty for a while but coincidentally when it says half it is half, but when the light comes on I did another 230ks till it was really empty.

The canopy is off and is at the powdercoaters, canvas is also ordered and a rooftop swag thingymajig too.

Decided on the 128lt and had fitted the other fay but they are now called 120l. Anyone know why?. Getting around 1100km and takes 120 ltr to fill on the first 2 tanks which was all types of driving and around 500km extra range, so pretty happy

Maybe they are just becoming more honest in their descriptions.
