and dusted Swinny

Aaron the DPS219 Performance Module is $899 or $1199 with EGT Controller. Savings of $100.00

I supply with the kits free of charge the EGR restrictor plate and with the 2005- aug 2006 Hilux a hi performance fuel limiter (2006 onward dont need one for the common tunes. The Hi performance fuel shim is a bitch to get in for most so we dont supply UNLESS someone really wants out and out power ... and bugger the fuel usage :)
remember this offer is only available when u order through my email or dealer number 02 8090 1881. It is not available on the main 1800 RETAIL number.

Just a praise to the guys at chip it, I purchased a egt controller chip and egr restrictor from Robert, fitted to my 2012 hilux single cab 4x4 two weeks ago and noticed a massive Improvement on factory tune 4, started playing with the different tunes and got all the way to tune 15 and no engine lights or codes, the truck absolutely hammers now, fitted a boost gauge and peak boost is 23psi and highest egt is 520c which is cooler than what It got to factory (560c), have done approx 400km on this tune and no problems :D

Thanks for an awesome product/support

Hey guys
Can anyone explain to me the boost levels in this graph. It states that standard boost is just over 12psi. And that after the tune the boost increases to a peak of just under 14psi? How is this graph compared to the standard 15psi that ppl are running? Does the standard boost vary from different year models of hilux? I would understand that every dyno will give u different readings on data outputs, but to have boost vary that much? Can someone please enlighten me on this matter. Would i be right by saying from the graph on the first post that each increase in psi equates to about 20hp? Thanx for the enlightment fellas. Cheers

Hey Chris great to hear its working for ya! Jus wondering on tune 15 is it shittn black smoke? I had mine on tune 10 and it was like a squid ink festival. Had to take it back to 9. How was your boost increasing as u got to the higher tunes?

There is a fair bit of black smoke under heavy acceleration but still less than some of those new land rovers, only fitted the boost gauge recently so didn't monitor through the different tunes.

Yes they can vary. We will increase around 3 -4 psi over whatever your car currently achieves.

Hi svend

Thanks for the post enquiry

YES. I can guarantee it. Tune It doesn't compete to be frank. I can say this without reservation. They are a fuel only chip after all.

Prices.

Thank you for your Chip Tuning enquiry.

Retail price for the Chip without the EGT Controller is $999.00. $1299.00 WITH EGT Control. (This is not including the Sydney Store forum discount)

With the discount from the new Sydney store your price is $899.00 and the EGT Controlled Chip is $1199.00.

$25.00 gets it out to you usually next day. All step by step instructions come with the kit so you can fit yourself.

EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp) Control is where we safeguard the engine as if the engine gets too hot the Module automatically dumps the performance tune in favour of the factory tune until temps stabilise. (This can occur when towing heavy vans/boats up hills etc and with ANY Chip/Module on the market)

When the temps stabilise (ie top the hill and reduce throttle) the performance tune is re-established automatically. The EGT Controller also has a LED display that sits inside the cabin and being a digital gauge, it is super responsive and accurate.

If one does not tow over say 1.5 ton then no need for the extra EGT Controller. HOWEVER, this form of engine protection is very cheap insurance, and is still cheaper than the competitor’s products that are around $1400. The EGT Controller is highly recommended and a must in our opinion if you do any form of towing of caravans or ski boats etc.

The Module is very easy to remove though you do not need to remove the EGT Controller/Gauge. The Dealer will not have a problem with the EGT Gauge since you are only measuring temps. This item just plug into the Performance Module harness when you’re ready.

To read more about Exhaust Gas Temps and what we do to prevent them via the EGT Controller i will send you an article about this. or read it on the Chip Tuning site. “Why are EGTs Important” pdf.

Our unique EGT Controller’s engine safety feature, is explained in the 4WD Action Magazine Product Review

If you do want to go ahead, just reply via email with your address, phone number (and your vehicles details again please) and I will get an invoice out to you that has banking details on it. Just reply to that email when paid so we can keep an eye out for the payment.

Cheers

Yes. the Chip will already have the harness ready for input of the EGT Controller. It normally costs $100 less when buying WITH the Chip but I will look after the members here if they wish to buy Chip first.
