Dirty you will not be flat footed when you have the chip on when towing ... you are more likely to be flat out WITHOUT the Chip

Just go to http://chipit.com.au/support/order_form and down load an order form

Forum members also receive free delivery so dont forget to write -25 ($) in the last row of the product list so we dont charge you freight.

been monitoring this chip for a while on all its feedback. i have a 2006 Hilux(1kd-ftv)(build 06/2005). ive been comparing with all the other chips and its all starting to sound the same. which is the exact chip i need the 2 or 4 channel cause there is a $400 difference and who can custom tune this for me in melbourne's west everytime i do an upgrade to have it running spot on?

Hi Flyn_finn

You just need the standard Chip. We give the extra channel the drive the extra fuel signal free of charge.

The tunes on the CD will accomodate your upgrades too ... that's why they are on there.

The dealers in Melbourne can custom tune too. we have dealers on each point of the melbourne perimeter triangle.

Cheers

I havent read the thread much, and maybe to a others with Triton's this could be useful inf

Does the CHIPIT product alter things enough to get rid of the extremely annoying throttle over run in the Triton 2.5 liter diesel which is a 100 - 200rpm increase AFTER you take your foot off the accelerator, crazy seeing the engine RPM increase momentarily. Very annoying feature Mitsubishi seem to have programmed into the ECU

Thanks in advance

I thought I had replied to this .... anyways it mustn't have posted.

Tradewinds, no chip on the market will fix this issue 100% as it is an emissions control issue that the manufacturer has built-in. They want you to be REALLY REALLY sure that you do want a power reduction so they keep the rpm's high until the accelerator is off for a long time ... thus meaning you do want to be off the throttle.

The Chip will giv you a better drive in all other driving regimes though and lag off the mark is greatly reduced as are mid torque corrections.

Well worth the price when you consider we have these specific points in our favour:

1) More features,
2) Better tunes … (not only do we address the Fuel MAP, but we also address Turbo Boost Curve),
3) Aussie made,
4) Tuned for Aussie cars with Aussie fuels,
5) Tuned by us ONLY ... no overseas tunes or non Aussie speaking 3rd party involved at all,
6) Much better prices,
7) More sophisticated board design, AND probably the biggest point ...
8) CUSTOM TUNING CAPABILITY ... WHICH AGAIN, OTHER MANUFACTURERS DO NOT HAVE.

Let me expand on point 8. When you need a custom tune with all the other Chips, you need to send the Module back to them for re-calibrating. This then is NOT a true custom tune to suit your vehicle as changes are NOT made in real-time. This is NOT so with the Chip It Module. Real-time tuning capabilities are given to every Chip It Custom Tune Dealer and adjustments to tunes are provided via email daily. Chip It “Macro” Tuning Software, provided FREE with every Chip purchase, allows YOU to download tunes to the Module within seconds.

If that is not enough, we also have the capability to run EGT Monitors, which, when coupled to the Chip It Performance Modules, monitor EGT's and re-program the Chip It Module to run factory standard tunes IF the EGT's climb too high. Again, this is unique to Chip it.

This feature is available to those that wish to produce extreme tunes for their vehicle. When left at the Chip It factory pre-set tunes, the EGT's are not an issue.

Hello all
I installed the latest chip it plug and play module in a 08 Hilux and can vouch for the chip as being an excellent improvement to the performance on and off the road without any problems at all I also tow a 20ft boat. I run it on tune 4 and the vehicle drives smoother and more powerfully through the auto transmission, the service I received from chip it was excellent as was the backup I live in WA.

Hey Rob

I have a 2007 diesel Manual and will be up grading to either a 2009 or 2010 diesel man or auto in the next couple of years. If i purchased a module to suit my 2007 would i able to transfer it to the 2009 or 2010 model?

Cheers Ben

I bought the chip and installed it yesterday after a quick call to Robert to confirm how it plugs in. It took less than a beer to put in and the difference was immediately noticeable. You have read it all in the posts before this one, so I wont re hash said comments.

Very happy so far....

But. I have not been able to get the software to talk to the chip as yet. I installed and re installed the software a number of times and the COM port shows up in the device manager, but it says the device is not working (error 10). In the installation manual it says that the tuner needs to be unzipped but there is no zipped file on the CD and when the installer is run, there is no indication as to where it is installed to.

Cheers
